Our Story

Sentinel Claims Alliances initially started off as a regulatory and risk compliance company extensively focussing on regulatory compliance. The claims offering has subsequently been added to the product offerings, “Your Claims partner”. In the light of the regulatory framework, the claims fulfilment process is critical in terms of TCF and our approach ensures that through the effective identification, managing and monitoring of claims, the creation of a compliant claims culture is fostered.

 

As part of the Risk Alliance group of companies,  Sentinel Claims Alliances value proposition is our industry expertise, knowledge to provide claims operational service and consulting offering by addressing the client’s specific business needs.

 

Sentinel Claims Alliances draws on trends in developing claims services to meet best practice claims operational needs of the clients to ensure that they can operate in a highly regulated environment, treating the customers fairly whilst still achieving viable financial results and allowing clients to focus on their core business whilst simultaneously having peace of mind that other non-core but crucial functions are in capable hands without having to spend time, resources and money on same.

  • The main goal Sentinel Claims Alliances will set out to achieve is to enhance service and improve financial results. In this regard Sentinel Claims Alliances suggests a benchmark being set in terms of current results as well as expected improvement in respect of turnaround time, service as well as financial impact.

    Our approach will be the following:

    Receiving all new incoming claims electronically as soon as new claims are registered. Handle all incoming calls, queries and correspondence from policyholders, third parties and third party insurers as priority ensuring that the customer is being treated fairly and the third party is attended to and the recovery finalised without unnecessary delay or cost and without prejudicing and inconveniencing the policyholder and or the client. In parallel to the process mentioned above, Sentinel Claims Alliances will collect data regarding these claims, report on same to management, analyse trends, make projections and identify risks as well as advise on risk mitigation and implementation of result enhancing processes. All relevant parties will be kept updated as required and reporting needs discussed with management in order for Sentinel Claims Alliances to custom make reports to suit the client’s management requirements. Enter into service level agreements with the relevant parties, insurers and service providers within the industry to ensure maximum efficiency and enhance credibility of the client’s brand. It is an option that we process claims on the insurer’s system should same be required.

     

    Since recoveries is one of only two claims areas which generate income and positively impact the claims cost, it is suggested that the potential not be underestimated and the function not be neglected as is so often happening in the industry. The impact liability ratios can have on the overall claims ratio should also not be underestimated and thus Sentinel Claims Alliances considers it crucial that the best economic settlements are negotiated without unnecessary delay and incurring of legal cost. Reputation is of utmost importance to Sentinel Claims Alliances and we pride ourselves in handling this function with high ethics and integrity which commands respect in the industry.
